JP Blu-ray News(08:18 AM EDT):
While the list of titles isn't coming out fast, new material is getting out there and the latest according to AV Watch in Japan is that the Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia OVA series will be put out on Blu-ray in September. ADV Films Outsources Online Shop(03:57 PM EDT):
A technical glitch following their server being down entirely the day before caused confusion today as the ADV Films site redirected people to the new online store that Right Stuf is handling for them. This move is the second one by a US company in recent months as FUNimation outsourced their warehouse and online fullfilment duties to Right Stuf. The official ADV Films site was not intended to show this just yet however and it has reverted back to its original form.
Kitty Update(03:39 PM EDT):
A bit of information has finally surfaced regarding a pair of somewhat unusual solicitations from Kitty Media for July. Their listings of Scandalous Seiryo University and Crimson Spell were done as if they were DVD releases but they were actually the first volumes of their respective manga series being tied to a DVD sampler called "A Taste of Boy Boy." We've removed the two listings from our upcoming release lists.

Viz Details Naruto Extras(08:29 AM EDT):
The ICv2 site is reporting on the two disc Naruto the Movie 2 release due out on 07/29/2008 in regards to its extras which haven't been talked much yet. The release is set to include, "a special feature on “Creating the World of Naruto 2;” another feature on how to “Write and Adapt Like a Ninja;” plus “Words From Japan,” “Production Art Gallery,” “Original Storyboards,” and the “Original Japanese Movie Trailers.” In addition the disc will also include a trailer for the third Naruto movie, Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom, also known (more literally) as Naruto the Movie 3: Great Excitement! The Animal Panic of Crescent Moon Island." The article is interesting in that it states that extras aren't often brought over and subtitled for US release. While extras have never been as copious as Hollywood, a good number of releases in the last several years have had most extras brought over, if not all, and many have had quite solid original extra content produced as well. FUNimation's release of Witchblade is a strong example of a series that had a lot of the Japanese extras brought over as well as a great selection of original extras.

More Blu FUNimation(08:09 PM EDT):
In our latest care package from FUNimation today that has review discs, we got in a copy of their live action release of Shinobi. The release itself shows a lot of promise after their first Dragon Ball Z release in terms of menu navigation, pop-ups and so forth, but also the inclusion of two Dolby TrueHD audio tracks. What was really interesting for the anime side was the inclusion of an "Anime Source: Blu-ray Edition" in which they talk about upcoming releases. While mentioning the two Dragon Ball Z releases that are due out in May and July, they also talked about other titles coming down the road with no dates beyond stating they'd be coming to Blu-ray in 2008:
Dragon Ball Z Double Feature: Tree of Might/Lord Slug
Dragon Ball Z Double Feature: Cooler's Revenge/Return of Cooler
Robotech: Shadow Chronicles
Afro Samurai
Vexille
