November 2002 Contest

The folks at ADV Films have been gracious with us for this contest with their latest title. Chance Pop Session is their latest new series, and they've sent us five copies of the first volume to give away before the official release date!

We're going to make this very easy to enter and go with the random drawing method but we want some details! If you could front a band, or be a soloist, what would you call yourself and what kind of music would you make? Send us an email at ** removed ** with your name and address, so that if you do win when we randomly pull winners on the date below, we can ship it off the next day. Entries without addresses are discarded and a new winner is picked and entries with just an address are discarded as well. We want both the address and the kind of music you'd make!

Entries will be accepted through 12/05/2002 @ 8 pm ET

The fine print: All entries become the property of AnimeonDVD.com and may be used in any promotional way. Contestants email addresses will not be given out to anyone. AnimeonDVD.com reserves the right to cancel or alter the contest at any time due to circumstances, however this is highly unlikely so fear not. AnimeonDVD.com reserves the right to add rules at any time.

And the winners are:
  1. Betty Lee - I'd call myself "Netchantress", and the music would be techno that was inspired by modem squeals.
  2. Jeffrey Wong - "Lady Big O" - Without a doubt I'll be waxing SOUL music for Atlantic and Jerry Wexler, Lord have mercy! I'm a dude, a badass, two-fisted, sandwich-eating, beer-guzzling, tobacca-chewing, gas-belching, fart-popping, butt-scratching
filthy dirty 5-ton super crew cab dually pickemup truck-driving dude, but I'd traded 3 rounds of bare-knucled rounds with Mike Tyson easy, to be able to stand in front of 50,000 at the Filmore in an Aretha Franklin pink strapless and wail R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Son of a Preacher Man, and You Make Me Feeling Like a Natural Woman.
  3. Billy Banks - I'd call my band 'NeoGyBa' and would consist of three ppl(possibly four)! The music style would fall into the (J)pop/techno categories. Take the 'Hand Maid May OP Song' and mix in the background music from either, 'Cotton Eye Joe', or 'I'm a Scatman'! Oh yeah, now thats the stuff!
  4. Alyssa Perkins - I would be a soloist by the name of "Jo-Chan"
My music: Duh, J-Pop, of course :-)
  5. Craig Maloney - If I could front a band, we'd be called "Death From Above". It'd be the best Jazz/Fusion/J Pop/Cajun Death Metal band you'd ever hear. I'd do vocals from behind the drum set.
