What They Say
All his life Yukinari has been bullied and abused by girls, so he naturally developed gynophobia - a fear of women. In fact, just being around girls makes him break out in hives! Then, he mysteriously gets transported to a world without men and meets a beautiful girl named Miharu who inexplicably doesn't affect him! He tries to resume a normal life, but then more girls from the other planet find a way to follow them...

Contains all 6 volumes!

The Review!
For audio, video and extras information, please see the single volume reviews listed above in the Related Shows section.

Packaging:
The bright colors and sharp graphics indicate the highly energetic show inside of the six volume chipboard box. That said, when compared to the original releases and discs, this is a repackaging of the original releases. No new artwork, no new extras. The covers are single-sided and the inserts are a one-sheet with bright cover art on one side and episode listings on the other.

Content:
Girls Bravo, the series, contains two full seasons of bouncing breasts, hapless men, and fanservice. Lots and lots of fanservice. There's even a cute animal friend that appears eventually. Yukinari, our hero, is allergic to women (he breaks out in a rash) until he crosses a mystical border in his bathtub into another world that sees Earth as a bright blue ball in the sky. This world, called Seirin, is full of women that do not give him a rash, but the first one he meets is the lovely pink-haired Miharu, who, when Yukinari leaves Seirin, follows him back home. Chaos ensues, as Yukinari's childhood friend Kirie and rival Kazuharu join the mix. More people arrive from Seirin, and Kazuharu's younger sister brings a violent take on witchcraft into the group. And it just snowballs and gets more insane and more naked.

That's right, more naked.

The second half of Girls Bravo is much like the first half: fun, campy, and over-the-top. Only there's more flesh. This time around, its badder and baudier than before, making the old jokes funny again somehow. By the end of the first season of GB, I was tired of the humor and wasn't being carried by the story lines anymore. The writers must have been refreshed by the ability to be more filthy the second time around, as they roped me back in with little more than skin and silliness. The thrill lasted a little longer, too, and the characters felt more genuine in what seemed a more natural setting.

Still, I felt annoyed by the end, just as I had with the first bunch, and almost dreaded picking it up for a final run so that I could write this review. That isn't fair to the series as a whole, because there is so much fun here! And yet, the dearest things can become grating over time.

Summary:
Girls Bravo is so much fun and so much flesh and so much fan service that it is almsot impossible to pass up. It can get difficult to sit through at times, because it is so mindful of each stereotype it is playing into and so thoroughly revels in those cliches. But taken as a whole, GB is a parody of what anime has, in many instances, become: boys, boobs, and busy laughs. Definitely worth picking up!
