Forum Buzz
By Sean Broestl

09/13/2001 Edition

Well, here we are again. It's been less than the week we all expected I'm sure, but that hasn't stopped most of you from keeping the forum action going, and so Forum Buzz heads into its second week!

Feedback for this article was overwhelmingly positive last week. Thanks everyone!

News, Rumors, Stuff

Anime DVD fans declare they like the color pink

On Monday, CPM announced that they have had all their copies of the Utena Movie LE spoken for. You can still pre-order it from retailers of course, but I'd recommend you do it soon. You can read the original thread here

Enough Already!

Guys, stop asking about the Cowboy Bebop boxset, really. I'll just start locking threads about it pretty soon. Six discs, all exactly the same as the ones you can get in stores now, a soundtrack, and a box. The box has room for seven discs

mmmmmm, good sci-fi

Crest of the Stars 2 came out this week. Initial impressions of the disc seem to be good. Gave it a watch myself Monday night, and I'm in love with the series myself. Of course, the disc had to end on a Cliffhanger! Next disc can't be out soon enough.

Tokyopop Bits

Spring and Chaos looks good. Vampire Princess Miyu is using the home video cut.

Disc Delays

Due to disruption in normal distribution channels expect slight shipping delays for some discs this month. There may be slight delays in dubbing for a few titles.

Count your blessings, then recount them for accuracy

Rumors abound that mahou shoujo show Wedding Peach has been licensed. Sounds good, until we heard who has potentially licensed it. Image Entertainment of all companies. There's conflicting reports based on web page postings and reader email to Image Ent.

Omocha Box Delays

For those of you in CA who were heading to the Omocha Box opening this Saturday, the grand opening celebration has been postponed. The store will still be opening, but the events have been postponed. This includes the autograph sessions with Kunihiko Ikuhara and Mari Iijima. New date next week possibly. Full press release here

That was fast

Right on the heels of UY boxset 2, UY boxset 3 is shipping. If you've ordered it, expect it soon. I would imagine you felt a stinging sensation in your wallet :)

Big Numbers:
Four threads locked in the general forum.
Zero in R2 Forum
One Thread in Forum Feedback
Four in Retail
Eight in Off-Topic

Quote of the week: You know, we do offer something like EIGHT reviews of this disc on the site... - Chris Beveridge

Not all that exciting a week, but I'll admit my notes aren't quite as good this week. I'll make up for it next week!

Until Then,
