I'll start by apologizing for how late I am getting this week's column
out. Non-forum life consumed me more than I could handle this week. This
is going to be a short column this week, but I'll make up for it next
week... I promise :)
The life of a forum in a week
I'll watch any DVD, as long as you didn't make it
Lots of discussion about Viz and how they are going to treat the
upcoming Inu Yasha video release. Nothing from Viz officially yet, but a
lot of people are worried about how it will turn out, especially in light
of them recently taking their DVD production in-house.
Didn't vol 2 just come out?
Crest of the Stars has hit the shelves for some people. Manages to take
care of that nasty cliffhanger from disc 2... only to end on another one.
Damn
Release Dates drive me Berserk
Queen dropped in on a thread about upcoming fantasy anime Berserk to
make a correction about a possible release date. Current claim is March
2002.
Silly name, serious anime
Clarifications regarding the release of Boogiepop Phantom: volume 1 -
October 9th, volume 2 - October 30th, volume 3 - November 27th, volume 4 -
January 29th. The boxset is a 4-disc alphapak, may have extras not
avaliable with individual discs.
Soul Hunter? I'd rather hunt women
Soul Hunter Vol 1 - 12/18/01. 5 eps per disc.
Porn for all!
Sakura Diaries Collectors Edition is not a direct-order only
Unlike a certain upcoming DVD, this isn't subtitled
Early impressions of The Hakkenden were feared to be dubtitled. This
turned out to be false. It is a proper subtitle track.
X - The most vicious letter!
It's ultra pretty, it's massively confusing, and it's generating a lot
of opinion questions. X has been described as pretty, but with a nearly
non-sensical plot. Check out one of the existing threads in the general
forum for more information.
Quality Quotes
I just couldn't come up with any good statistics for this month, so
I've selected TWO quotes of the week this time around.
How about a special chromium reply card? ^_^; -taku
Don't you know? The letter "S" is the most costly one when putting
together a DVD. Skipping that on packaging and in subtitles saves huge
bucks. -Chris Beveridge
About to pass out from lack of sleep...
