Slow week overall on the forums. Not a whole lot going on as far as disc announcements. Though we're probably through with new title acquisition news for the year, we probably still have a few more disc announcements before the year is out. There were a number of discussions about recent releases, the biggest being a long thread about ADV's latest new title release, Princess Nine.

Never had the shiny treatment, never will

BlackJack OAVs, question was asked if they'll ever come out. JSevakis fielded this question with the reply that they don't have DVD rights, and probably never will. Same case with subtitle VHS rights. Ahhhh, Japanese businesses. original thread

Take me out to the ballgame, especially if it has that many cute girls

The biggest thread this week was about ADV's release of Princess Nine vol 1. It's very rare for me to read so few negative comments about a disc. From what I can tell, ADV has another winner on their hands.

Geh!!!

Some mock-up Mezzo Forte uncensored version cover art has found its way to the web, and amazingly enough the word "uncensored" is misspelled on the cover. As if the misspellings in the subtitle tracks weren't annoying enough. Let's hope they caught that error prior to printing. original thread

Another series down

Generator Gawl #4 has finally hit the street (or will be pretty quick). Not sure what to say myself, though opinions seem to be that it had an ending that tried hard to explain some plot points, but could have used another episode. original thread

Boogiepop Phantom #1 impressions

Boogiepop Phantom was released recently as well, relatively short thread though additional opinions are welcome. original thread

Trouble comes in Twos
Number of times Cowboy Bebop box was mentioned: Two too many
Number of crotchboys: Two
Forums with just two moderators: Japanese Language and Culture, Asian and Anime Music. Hey, there's another set of two
Region of DVDs that's somehow purported to be better, no matter what: 2

Quote of the week: It seems like people are behaving as if there was supposed to be a US$10 bill in there
