Forum Buzz
By Sean Broestl

11/08/2001 Edition

Ahhhhhh, a fine week on the forums. I find myself in an incredibly good mood as I write this article this evening because I'm merely one week away from being free of Cowboy Bebop box threads! (This should make a lot of the regulars happy as well I'm sure). Besides that, we've had plenty of other action in the forum with new title announcements, stolen forum accounts, and some of the funniest dialogs I've seen in months.

Buzzworthy

Some last minute notes on Boogiepop Phantom

In a recently resurrected thread, Shawn Kleckner clarified some questions regarding the extras and Japanese credits for Boogiepop Phantom. There's some supposedly "great" art and other extras included on the last disc of Boogiepop Phantom, and it's being worked on now. Source post

More of the Right Stuf

I'm sure we're all really starting to appreciate Shawn Kleckner's participation in the forum discussions, and he spared no time in responding to a question about KareKano this week. It is still on schedule for Spring 2002, with a boxset at the end of the individual disc run. Source Post

ADV: Secret of Princess Nine volume titles

One of the most humorous threads of the week was a guessing game regarding the volume titles of Princess Nine. The volume titles are: #1 First Inning!, #2 Double Header!, #3 Triple Play!, #4 Strike Zone, #5 Bases Loaded, #6 Grand Slam!

I do feel compelled to point out some of the more humorous guesses here: "PMS Blues" "Rei IV" -the8thguy, "A Koshien of their own" -Konoha, "Drunken Coach Hidden Batter" -taranwanderer, "Secrets & Lies" -SPrintF

ADV - AD Police, Gasaraki 8

ADV has announced pricing and release date on the AD Police DVD and Gasaraki Vol 8. AD Police is coming out in a 2 disc set with all 12 episodes for $35 on 4/9/2002. And for some reason, Gasaraki 8's release date was announced, only to less commentary from the forum. Perhaps because Gasaraki is actually GOOD, it doesn't get any comments :). Look for Gasaraki Vol 8 (last volume) on 1/29/2002.

#2 FAQ becomes #1

Now that we're done with the Cowboy Bebop box questions, I think it's inevitable that the new number #1 FAQ is gonna be Excel Saga, and what a surprise, a new thread about it started already.

Quote of the week: Gasaraki 7? Couldn't they have kept the old logo for the rest of the series?
