Forum Buzz CHECK!

If AoD provided me with a cool chair, a cool pipe, and nothing but a bow tie as clothing to do it in, I'd totally do this column "Kero-chan Check!" style... CORRECTION!

Slight correction to my last column. I made reference to a Ronin Warriors boxset. I was in fact, not reading closely enough in the source thread. The boxset I mentioned was the Gundam Movie boxset. There is no Ronin Warriors boxset planned at this time. You people really need to stay on topic, for your beloved forum administrator's sake!

Hot titles this week

I've really missed seeing long threads about new releases. Thankfully, with the year in full swing here, and the rearranging of some forums we're able to have this section again. By far the title with the most buzz this time is ADV's addictive Princess Nine #3. Close behind is the Cardcaptor Sakura Movie, helped in part by people checking out the amazingly bad hidden music video on the disc. (You can check it out by looking at Title 12 on the DVD.) After checking it out myself, I'm not surprised they hid it. New release GTO also generated a few threads, Tokyopop has definitely gone out of their way with this one.

Releasing DVDs for fun and profit (mostly profit)

  • Princess Nine #4: 05/28/02. 4 eps
  • Soul Hunter #5: 06/18/02. 4 eps
  • Legend of Himiko #1: 07/9/02. 4 eps

It's like an Easter Egg hunt, only for a pencil board

Had a couple reports recently that the CardCaptor Sakura movie pencil board has been missing from some of the DVDs. The DVDs have the stickers on the shrinkwrap saying they're in there, but they've been missing. If you've encountered this situation, try checking under the cover of the DVD. Apparently Pioneer has had some wierd packaging on this one. [ Original Thread

Hey! Those people like anime too!

Really cool thread from last week, our Company reps all posted their favorite series in a single thread for convienent perusing. Neat way to see a lot of what got a lot of people into anime. So check this thread out.

Cool new cover art, we hate the word "if"

Patlabor volume 2 is getting a new cover art style from volume 1. It's pretty cool looking, at least in my opinion. Future volumes will follow this design, "If we get to the end of the series". I don't like the sound of that :( . They will reissue new volume 1 art at the end of the Patlabor run though. [ Original thread ]

Forum Quote of the week

Do I have to tell you how to do it? I'm sure you can at least figure it out on your own. Fill it UP!!!!! $_$ -Neko Tsukimi [ Source Post
